DealerVault operates in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect, use, and disclose personal information only with consent and for identified purposes.
We collect information necessary to provide our dealership management services, including: dealership registration details, employee information, customer records as entered by dealership staff, vehicle inventory data, and financial transaction records.
Information is used solely to provide the DealerVault service: managing dealership operations, generating documents, processing subscriptions, and maintaining compliance records as required by Ontario law.
Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with CRA requirements and OMVIC record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of personal data subject to these legal retention requirements.
We protect personal information with appropriate security safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure database storage, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to: access your personal information, request corrections, withdraw consent (subject to legal obligations), and file complaints with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
